Default Brake Problem

Having a problem with the brakes on my 1969 Corvete with power brakes. The peddle moves too far and the "Brake Light " (warning light) on the dash comes on. Pumping the peddle does not restore the brake feel. I have bleed the brakes twice with no effect. None of the calipers are leaking. Does this sound like a problem with the master cylinder?

how did you go about bleeding the brakes? where did you start? did you gravity bleed, pressure bleed, etc.?

Pressure bleed with a "Motive" Brake bleeder.

I just went through this with a 79 on a system that was only 15 months old. My first assumption was that it was the master cylinder. I have a motive bleeder being delivered tomorrow, but I went ahead and took the MC off and it wouldn't hold pressure on the bench so I replaced it. I already had a set of speedbleeders to put on so after bench bleeding the new MC I used the speedbleeders and got a firm pedal as well as killing the brake alarm light. Check your brake fluid levels, mine were pretty much normal but you certainly could have a leaky caliper. I plan on using the Motive to pressurize the system and see if it holds pressure or if a leaky caliper shows up. Not an expert by any means, just my 2cents
