Wrong on Pop

Wrong on Pop

I thought a exhaust pop was loose header bolts, but I was wrong. Compression check shows 152 all across all eight. I don't think I hear a exhaust leak anywhere. What else might I be chasing

Misfire. Unburnt fuel goes out the exhaust pipe and ignites in the muffler making a pop.

a little more

I am not sure as there is no power loss under accel. Just at idle and when you let completely off pedal.

how to?

a lot of local guys are saying exhaust leak. anyone know a good way to find a leak? Pipes are loud and fan on engine makes it hard to pinpoint

update

adjusted the idle air screws, then advanced the timing by ear. Exhaust backfire gone and lots more power.
