I am trying to place the proper decals in the engine compartment of my 69 350/350. The AIM does not show locations. Does any one know of a good source to find the original locations of decals?
the corvette assembly instruction manuals. are a great source. I got mine from the PO. he got it from mid america. In fact i just used it for the exact same reason. The assembly manual shows the exact placement of the decals. mine is for an 81 if not i would tell you where the decals go.
good luck.
Thanks. I'll check my AIM again for the 69 in case I missed it. I specially looked for the car jack instruction decal because I know where that decal goes ...but found nothing.
Hi B,
I'm not sure just what decals or stickers you're asking about.
The ones in the engine compartment I know of are:
the horsepower sticker on the air cleaner lid
the emissions sticker on the bulkhead behind the master cylinder
the broadcast code sticker on the rear bail of the master cylinder
the Harrison sticker on the right/top of aluminium radiators
the inspection sticker on the left/top of Harrison aluminium radiators
the inspection sticker on Harrison aluminium serge tanks
the engine broadcast suffix sticker on the passengers side valve cover(rear?)
the small inspection sticker on the heater blower motor
If you ask something specific I'll try to help.
Regards,
Alan
The info for the stickers on the rear compartment lids, vehicle certification, and emissions label is in UPC 0, sheet B-1 in my 71 AIM,
The AIM will show positions of decals/stickers that are installed at the final assembly plant. Those that are installed at the sub-assembly plants (i.e., A/C system) may or may not be shown in the AIM.
Hi B,
The 'TG' goes on the rear bail of the master cylinder.
The posi lable is shown where I indicated and 7T1 seconded, and FD pictured. UPC 0, B-1. Notice that the Positraction label has a 1958 date on it!!!!!!!
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan
