Default Simple Blinker Question

on my '78, now and again when I use the blinker, it turns on and stays on.
(until I turn the blinker off of course)

So in stead of flashing, it just lights solid until I make my turn.

I'm sure it is a simple fix, but I'm at a loss when it comes to the electrical.
(I should have checked the fuse, but haven't yet - but this problem doesn't happen all the time - just more often now)

Any help would be appreciated!

Probably the flasher. Not sure if it's in the same spot on yours, but on my '71 it's behind the pass side dashpad, close to the door.

Probably the flasher but on your 78 the flasher is in the fuse box along with the 4 way flasher. The 4 way is at the top left and the turn flasher is at the bottom right. You could just swap the 2 flashers and see if the problem goes to the 4 ways.
(This flasher recommendation is providing both turn signals do the same thing -- no flashing sometimes--if its only 1 side then your problem will most likely be bulbs or grounds.)

Yeah, both sides do it when it does happen.
and now that I think, about it, the 4 way does the same thing
Thanks for the info! I will take a look at them tomorrow!
