None that I can see with the car up on 4 (equal) jackstands, flat surface (well, as flat as I can find) and measurements to ground were all within 1/4 inch . I'm thinking the 1/4 inch may be with the concrete.
One of these days I'll have it put on a frame machine I guess. But for now its sitting pretty.

I remember reading this thread and the frustration it was causing. Happy to see everything finally got worked out, although, I think I'd try to get that $120 in labor for flipping the coil spring refunded.
I have the same problem with my 81. However, my front suspension is not fresh (will be soon) and my car has been wrecked, burnt, and had a tree fall on it at some point before i got it. I have had it for 12 years and done the motor a couple times, tranny, rear end swap and interior. front suspension and steering are next, if that does not help then thanks to this thread i will look at the body mounts. ALSO the drivers side insert behind the rear wheel under the left rear 1/4 panel is missing since ive owned the car. It is the same piece that was shown earlier in the thread except on the other side. does anyone know where i can get this piece and can i glass it in by just pulling the tire??

If so, most of the supply vendors have them, just gotta look. I think they are pop-riveted in. Do you have the lower piece- welded to the frame?
good job on figuring it out. did you go with poly or rubber mounts. i had 3, 5, 5, 5 shims on body mounts 1234 respectively. and none on the passenger side. i plan on replacing with new poly mounts when i get to that on my body off. any thoughts on not putting any shims? assuming the frame is square and the body panels can be tweaked during body work to get proper door gaps

My opinion is: try the mounts with 2 shims each, both sides. Before you tighten back up, look at the car and take measurements. THEN, start installing/tightening back to normal. For me, the drivers side took 1/4 inch more shims per mount than pass side. She now sits like it should.
Good luck. There is a thread out there on this forum to help you install .
here is the link :
