if there was a electric fan from the factory .then you already have a hot wire .there is on 81s and 82s.i am not shure of the 1980.if there is no wire, than take one from the battery and put a fuse on it .the ground i would take from the frame.

Yes On the pass. side above the starter there is a 2 prong plug that is used to turn the stock fan on when the car reaches 220. I used that to power the fans or you can use the back of the alternator for the thermostat controler and fan power.
Mine is a '75 Coupe and this dual fan configuration that I have in the queue is to replace my existing mechanical fan. I'm off to pick up a "new" (to me) radiator support. HELLLPPP!!!!
