Please help with tachometer problem!
The tachometer reads about 700 to 800 idle but some times it reads 300 idle when the car is running fine. What could it be? Some one told me there’s some kind of filter the distributor sends the signal too before the tachometer reads the actual rpm’s and the filter might be bad.. Where can I get a new one at? Does anyone know what the problem could actually be?

Tach filter problems are normally that the tach will read too high. This assumes that you have an 'electric' tach rather than a mechanical one [depends on C3 year]. The tach circuit board (electric tach) can also create problems.
