Flexplate installation
Installing a flexplate on a Blueprint 383. Should the flexplate slip over the hub on crank easily or does it have to be pulled in using the six bolts. Also, the 6 bolts I have seem to be a bit smaller than the holes in the flex plate. Is this normal? Does the pin in the crank compensate for any slop between the bolts and the flexplate holes?

I've seen them slip on easily and I've had to "walk" them on with a rocking motion, then bolts to get them seated. IMHO, proper fit is snug, but not so much it distorts the plate. The bolts should slip in the plate.
