Burning smell
Took the 72 out for a cruise yesterday and I noticed that when I get on it a little (OK maybe more than a little) I smell a burning rubber smell. No it isnt the tires smoking! I thought maybe a belt was slipping but nothing seems out of the ordinary...any thoughts?

Probably a belt slipping when you accelerate. That smell would get blown into the fresh air intake in your hood cowl area [base of the windshield]. Check your belt tensions. Also look for rubber 'glazing' [slick, polished look] on the sides of the belts. If one is glazed over, it has been slipping and should be replaced and set tighter than it was.
