I just had this on my 05 GXP and the compressor was shot. Still had full pressure but the internals of the compressor were gone and only hot air came out the vents.
Cost me $925 to get fixed because I couldn't even find the AC compressor on the Grand Prix.

Just changed my 10 year old GMC truck compressor. I had to place right front on jack stand, remove innner fenderwell just to see the compressor. Total cost was $220. It pays to be an a/c repairman.
Is the diverter working? The wheel on the right hand side, with 'C' on the top, controls a cable that moves the diverter.
If you are not sure, you can take off the passenger side dashpad, and you should be able to see the cable move the diverter - you should see a cable moving a lever.

Took my car to the shop today. To the Expert mechanics of North West Indiana. Sucked the system dry of moisture and air. Refilled and blowing cold. Normal and Max both working. Thanks to my friends at D AND L Auto
