Default Whats this number mean?

I have a new to me 1968 with a nonmatch 350 motor. I am trying to figure out what it is. It has "vo816tkl" on the flat in front of the passengers valve cover. Anyone know what that menas?

Hi o1,
The code posted was stamped at the engine plant.
V... where the engine was built...V is the Flint Michigan plant.
0816... the date (month and day) the engine was built.
TKL... the 'Broadcast Code'...the specs/configuration for this particular engine.
