Bend the end of the cable around the fastening points to make sure it can't slide out.

Well its in and its perfect. I used the steel sheath of the choke cable, and the nice stranded cable that comes with the china junk. I cut the single end off to get the cable out and installed in the new steel sheath, then took the die grinder with a fine cutting wheel and cut the old cable out of the nice thick ring. Then used JB weld to reconnect the cable to the ring. Best setup ever works perfectly. Somebody in the USA needs to wake up and start manufacturing this type of cable that will last longer than 3 pulls. CHINA MADE CRAP. Take note vendors, your selling us CRAP.

Make sure you send it back for a refund. If you are willing to buy it, let it break, & throw it away, they will sell the China junk to you all day every day.

If you (and others) keep sending the China junk back, making them take the time to issue RMAs, pay shipping, issue refunds, and deal with the hassle of an unhappy customer (or former customer), then they may consider searching for a better quality part to sell.

As promised here are some pictures. I used an old steel choke cable for the outer housing, and the stranded cable itself from the China cable. and then used some metal telephone wire clamps to hold it down. I had some small clear plastic tubing to put around it as it goes by the distributor and plug wires so we dont get any arcing.
