Big Block Ignition Shield differences

Any difference between the 1968 - 1970 E and the 1970L to 1974 Big Block Ignition Shields?

Any complications with using one as oppossed to the other?

The 68-70E seems longer than the 70L - 74
any hang ups with interferance between the open air cleaner element used from the 68-70 as oppossed to the 70L-74?

Need any input here guys..

Hi A,
My understanding is that although the support brackets are different for bb/sb engines the distributor boxes/ covers fit all.

71 - 74

68 - 70

The brackets are the same the chrome tops/boxes are different.
