3rd gear muncie problems
Hey guys, i have a 72 corvette with a muncie m20 and i'm having issues. Not every time but usually when shifting into 3rd gear it will pop out. Also when im just in third gear or even when downshifting to 3rd it will pop out. I installed a hurts shifter and have adjusted the 3rd gear stop multiple times to check if that was it. Still doing it. Also i made sure the pedal adjustment was correct, don't know if it had anything to do with it or not. I have no idea what to think now. Im only guessing that maybe the syncro is bad. I'm clueless. This is my first post, If anyone has any input that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Popping outta gear is, generally, a worn hub and/or slider. The splines are no longer parallel, so the slider backs away from the gear and disengages. As other members suggest, though, start with the simple stuff, b/4 you go plowin' through your tranny.
