Thats funny! Yes I do have 8 & 11 year old daughters who like to trash rides and eat anything in the car.... my 11 year old pushed the door open the other day with her foot and left a dirty shoe print on the white door panel the other day...
I had to instruct both of them on passenger etiquette and the fact that this was not my truck.
Stunning! Really Really nice job. Love the color combo. Looking forward to seeing the pics of the engine when you're done with her. I'm new around here too and just bought mine too. I know how you feel having the new Vette. Enjoy
Painted the engine with Dupli-Color GM Corporate Blue rattle can and cleaned the rusty manifolds & master cylinder with Calyx manifold Dressing http://calyxmanifold.com/. I pulled the valve covers...stripped & painted. The air cleaner was shined up by using NU-Finish car polish.
Very nice...I copied a picture of your car for motivation. I had to sell my
C5 vert last year when the economy went south. I now have a 77 (almost
basket case) silver with red interior, maybe one day it will look as good
as yours. What size tires are on those 17's
Great looking car. My first vette was a 77, orange with the smoke grey and white interior. Wish I still had that car. Anyway you are doing great work. It is good to see someone with the enthusiasm that you have for the car.
If the seat belts are not frayed/damaged, you can recolor them with SEM vinyl dye. You can use the fabric spray dyes they have at auto parts stores, but they may not have silver and that spray dye is rather 'flat' looking (not glossy). Get some SEM 'Color Coat' dye mixed to the GM color code (or matched to anything you bring in) at a professional auto body paint supply store. They can sell you a $5 PreVal bottle/gas-cannister sprayer to shoot it, too. Just reel the belt out of the retractor and put a clip on to hold it in place. Clean the belts really well; rinse well; let dry a day or so to be sure all water is out of them. Mask any metal stuff and shoot it on both sides. Nylon belt webbing is 'plastic'; vinyl dye is for 'plastic'/vinyl parts and it is flexible.

Yes they are 17 inch American racing wheels that I bought used from this site in the parts for sale area.

Have done this? Do you have photos? I could buy a canister of dye from zip or corvette america....would that work? See link below
