Has any one removed a radiator from a 1981 corvette ? I am having a problem removing the radiator, the right lower radiator hose nipple on the radiator does not clear the shrould, I can lift the radiator up about 4" and that is as far as I can lift it.
Any help would be great !
Thanks in Advance !
Pull fan and fan clutch, (if it's still there) drain the radiator, disconnect the cooling lines and radiator hoses, pull the shroud, remove the bolts holding the radiator mounts at the top of the radiator support and lift it up and out. Shouldn't be a problem....

careful not to force it out or back in $$$$$$$ it a pain but will wiggle out.
Have you tried removing the fasteners from the shroud and moving the shroud aft against the engine (the fan and clutch removed of course)? Then tilt the driver's side upward first followed by the passenger side. Don't try to lift the radiator straight up. Try to tilt it toward the driver's side first.
I just did this a week ago. The fan and fan clutch need to come off. I had to pull the radiator out first then the shroud. You can not pull it straight out. The driver side needs to come up first while leaning the radiator toward the engine. You have to finagle it out driver side first so the lwr hose nipple will clear the Passenger side A-Arm.
