My proportioning valve i think has gotten stuck to the rear brakes. The front calipers were changed by the PO and they have been like this since i owned it,haven't driven much but the rear pads are wearing fast. Any way to repair or just replace it?

What year? some years (later) had a proportioning valve, and some years did not. But your distribution block should have a switch in it that will light up the "brake" warning light if there is more pressure in the front or back.... if you have no light you light or switch may be bad, or.... you have another problem. you rear calipers may not be functioning properly and getting stuck or hung in a closing position.
It's a "73" the light stopped working when i changed the parking brake handle there is a wire on the brake block and new lines and caliper's on the front the PO owner put on. If i stop on a dirt rd i can get the rears to lockup and if i back up at a good clip i can drag the fronts some,so they must work a bit.The peddle is hard ( non-power ) maybe if i bleed them again. When i fist bought it it seemed to be stopping from the seat of the pant's instead of any kind of nose dive at speed. Just hopping someone else had this happen to them. I haven't been able to get with the PO owner but i bet the fronts went bad on him and the valve slid over. It's a 4-speed w/4:11's so she slows down pretty good on he own so i can take it easy on the rears but i can see they are wearing fast THANK'S
It used to but i messed up the switch w/ i replaced the handle. The PO installed new cables and balance bracket for the parking brake and they work real nice.
The issue with the rear brakes locking up 'on their own' because of old/deteriorating flexible hoses at the wheels is real. I just had it happen to me. Enough brake drag to generate boku heat and smoke in a couple of miles. The apply pressure is high enough to get through all the crud in the flex hose; but when you release the pedal, there is residual pressure left in the caliper that the hose will not release. If those hoses are over 8-10 years old...change them.
