Default Lars comes through again!!!!

A month ago I seen the correct carb on ebay for my 77 with California emissions but the seller would not ship it to Canada. I wrote Lars and asked him if I had it shipped to him, would he rebuild it and then send it on to me. He obliged and today I received the carb and it looks like it just came out of the factory. Lars takes no shortcuts and he is extremely professional in all aspects...even right down to instructions for installation. Thanks again Lars...I appreciate it and also thanks to the forum.

Binnie -
Glad to see the carb got to you in good shape and that you're pleased with the outcome - the core I received from your seller had so much rust and corrosion on it that I was concerned that the end results would not be up to your expectations.
I've actually been shipping quite a few carbs up to Canada recently - yours is the 4th one I've shipped across the border in the last few months. One of our Forum Loaner Carbs is from Canada, so it's making quite the international rounds...!

Well, I put the carb on today and it works perfectly. All I had to do was lean the choke out and that was it. My original carb still had the plastic tabs on the mixture screws. I pulled one off as I wanted to see what the factory setting was...it was slightly less than 2 turns. The carb Lars rebuilt runs very nice at 3 turns so I am going with that for a while. Thanks again Lars.

Not surprised to hear this about Lars.
He has been doing more than his share to help people on this forum.
Only wish there were more like him.
He really is an excellent example of what this forum is all about; Corvette people helping each other.
You gotta love it,
