Default Which Chassis is the Best Performance oriented choice?

Hello:

Can you give me some known or personally seen performance achievements, that these chassis (Below) have been able to achieve using C2, C3 Body's?

Lateral Acceleration?
Slalom
60-0 Braking
etc. etc.

Please tell about the car that was being tested?

What was used to gauge the level of performance?

Type, Weight, Suspension etc.

I will be buying one maybe two chassis/suspensions from one maybe two companies, of the several companies who offer this type of product.

I would probably be wanting a C5 front with a C4 rear (Narrowed), Brake rotors 12 inches or less (To run 15 inch wheels or higher. Car should weight about 3200 .lbs, Will be a C2 "Grand Sport", and a C3 Corvette Convertible. Chassis MUST be RIGID and have a roll over bar or "Roof Support", possible.

If you have tested a C6 Chassis please test me how it performed and would it be better than the C4, or C5/C4 Chassis that you have built, ridden in or driven?

Please add to the list any you felt were exceptional for my uses.

Real life documented data would be preferable. Has anyone performed this type of comparison in the past with other cars?

Thanks,

Ty O'Neal

I have had a little experience with the SRIII chassis. My brother in law, 1coolC2 here on the forum has a 67 resto mod. It runs a C5 front and C4 rear suspension. Motor is a cammed LS7 with around 530 RWHP and a Viper modified 6 speed. The chassis is rock solid and the car rides smoother than most C5 cars I have riden in. He runs C6 Z06 brakes and has 18 or 19 inch rims. The car is a rocket to drive and the handling is second to none. I can't imagine anything being better, maybe equal but not better. The guys at SRIII will do any mods you want done to the frame, so if a roll bar is needed just ask.

Gordon: Thanks, that is quite a endorsement. Have you had the opportunity to drive in any other frames for comparison?

I hope a few people will add to this thread. the SRIII with the later tech would naturally seam to be the better choice.

Anyone else?

Thanks,

Gordon
