Default Paragon in same boat as Ecklers....

...sent a bunch of totally wrong items, more than one of an item, etc. Will not use again. Note: Order takers seem to have limited-to-no knowledge or experience with the end item they are catering to. Hopefully most other customers will not have the same experience, terrible.

Haven't bought much from Paragon but luckily didn't have any problems. It'll be interesting to see what businesses are left standing after the economic shakeout.

They're right up the road from where I work. I call the order in the morning and pick the stuff up at lunch. Never had a problem and they were always helpful. I have to agree that their order takers don't know much about Vettes, but they should be able to pick the right parts. They are a small shop, nothing the size of Eklers. Give them a chance to make it right, everybody has a bad day once in a while.

That's unfortunate that you had that experiance with them - I don't think that's usually case.

I've used Paragon for all my restorations for 5 years now, having received tens of thousands of dollars in parts from them. I've never had a screwed up order, parts quality has been excellent, and the technical knowledge and assistance from Paragon has been the best in the Industry. I get notified of back order issues, and I get follow-up phone calls on any such issues. The few times I have had to return something, I have immediately received a return authorization number, and the right stuff has been shipped to me immediately. They send me samples at no charge, and one time when I actually lost a part they sent me thinking they had shorted me, they immediately sent a replacement part on my word. When I called to tell them the mistake was mine, they told me to just keep the extra shipment - no problem. Compared to other suppliers I have dealt with, these guys have been a first-class outfit and highly professional.

Hi,
I too must agree that I've had good experiences with Paragon with many orders over many years.

The last thing I order from them I had a problem. I ordered an oil filter that was screen printed to look like an orginal. When it arrived the box the filter was in was all taped up. I opened it and the filter was all dented. The main box the shipment came in was fine. I called them to tell them the filter was bad. They told me UPS damaged it. I told them it was inpossible that the outer box was not damaged at all and that they must have shipped me a filter that was damaged before it left them. After two days of them telling me that UPS would have to pay for it they finally admitted they sent me one they had damaged and then sent me a new one.

Ordered with them and had no problems ever. Only issue is the steep shipping cost to Europe, but I don't think that is their wrong doing. Willcox is cheaper in that department. Hopefully an order will be delivered this week.

This is the first complaint I here about Paragon. I've never ordered from them, but I wouldn't hesitate to do so.

I am not making excuses for anyone because I know how frustrating it can be I have lived it. But I know a lot of the senior personal from several companies were at Carlisle and it may not have been business as usual. I hope that they resolve you issues
Best of luck

Paragon is my primary vendor. I don't want to add up the thousands I've spent with them. I'm sure they've mssed up an order somewhere along the way (rare) but just as sure Paragon made it right.

Plus, I order parts on Monday morn and they're on my doorstep Wednesday eve when I return from work.

Lastly, their catalog has great blow-up diagrams that help when selecting parts.

Default Paragon

I also use Paragon for the bulk of my buying. I have always had good luck with them on my orders. If I have an application question they can't answer on the spot they always find out and return my call. I am sorry you had a bad experience with them. Maybe they had a bad day.
