Throttle Cable sticking.. Please help
Hello everyone... I installed a new throttle cable and now it is sticking some.... Here are a few photos .... Is it because of the white tube looking thing in the second photo? Thank you

You can buy springs at any car parts store. You likely can NOT buy the correct spring(s) for it, though. If you want to keep the car 'correct', buy a "temporary" spring at a local store and order the correct one from a Corvette parts supplier.

So where do the springs hook on exactly? I bought Mr Gasket set of spings with a clip L bracket. I hooked the springs onto the bottom of the carb and the the L bracket I installed on to my throttle bracket. Ill have a photo tomorrow to post. Thank you all !

As long as the spring is pulling the throttle closed, it really makes no difference which direction it's pulling.
One thing you don't want- too much tension on the spring will not only make it hard to push the go pedal, but it'll wear the throttle shaft in the carb too. It won't happen instantly, but you will get a weird, hard to find vacuum leak.

Refer to my photo above - it's pretty intuitive. It's an easy job.

Will this "L" bracket work ok? I just would hate for the screw to fall out... I do see two holes on the throttle bracket (see second photo) to hook the spring but they are very close to the carb.... I would have to use shorter springs. What do you think?
