HELLO NEW TO THE FORM BUT ITS COOL !!!HOPE FOR SOME REAL IDEAS..TOOK THE MOTOR APART BECAUSE BAD CAM. METAL IN THE JOURNALS... BOTTOM LOOKS BAD ALSO CRANK HAS BEEN TURNED .02 ON THE MAINS AND 010 ON THE RODS. BORED .01 AND THE CYCL. LOOK OK...WILL NEED AT LEAST A GOOD HONE AND CRANK TURNED...LOOKING TO DROP A .311 CI small block chevy race / performance engine - has a solid lifter Lunati cam, 8 inch balancer, chrome timing cover, is fully balanced, has steel strap main girdle system, double roller timing chain, full dome pistons with 12-1 compression (with 64CC heads) -WHICH WILL BE BRODIX IK 200 its ready for your heads and intake - drop in and run - this engine makes 450HP with a decent set of heads. Adding some more info - Bore is 3.905 and stroke is 3.250 - rods are 5.7 GM HP with ARP bolts - crank is a GM 327. Makes 311 CI - Balanced, Lunati solid lifter cam with .543 lift and 249 dur @ .050 - block has been decked and mains caps are supported by billet steel plates, has double roller timing chain, chrome timing cover, 8 inch balancer. WILL THE CAM ALLOW ME TO HAVE ENOUGH VAC FOR LIGHTS AND POWER BRAKES...WILL IT RUN ON A HI OCTAIN GAS...WILL BE A WEEKEND DRIVER AND AT THE TRAck SMALL AMOUNTS,,,WILL HAVE A STRIP DOMINATON WITH A 750 HOLLEY ANS A 125/250 SHOT OF NOS...TELL ME YOUR TOUGHTS... I NEED SOME THANKS BUD

I don't know about the vacuum, but with 12-1 compression you'll need race gas and with that cam and a 750 cfm carb on a 311 cid motor, it'll probably be a turd until 5000 rpm or so.
