My driver's side Stingray emblem fell
off. I ordered a replacement from Eckler's.
The holes don't line up with the pegs on the
back of the replacement. I've got a few ideas
but I'm not sure which one to pursue.
Just typed a response on cell and don't think it took!
Thanks for your responses! It does have 3 pins. Haven't
had time to call Ecklers and the 76 is in the shop geting a
new engine, radiator, rebuilt carb, trans, and on and on.
Does this mean that I'm not dealing with an original fender?

Upon further reveiw.....
I do have holes. You can't feel them.......or the pins which are flush with the inside of the fender. But when I put a flashlight inside there and took a look, I could see two spots. One looks like it's behind the "T" and the other is behind the "Y"........
Cutting off the pins and using double-sided emblem tape will solve your problem. Some people use the tape even if the pins are aligned with the holes because the pins may not fit snugly in the holes.

I need to reattach the emblems on my '73...do they make 1/8 inch double sided emblem tape? I can't seem to find any
Thanks for the responses. I ended up sawing of one of the them. You can see about 1mm of glue in a spot from the original. When I can muster up the courage to part with it for a weeks/months I'm having it painted, and the point shall be moot.
