give the members name so we can all call him an azzhat for being dishonest.

Seems like if there isn't any difference in the rims, and you showed pictures before the transaction and he wasn't able to tell they weren't the type he wanted then there is some blame on the buyer. Even though you had the wrong description so there is still some blame on you.

Offer him a discount and see what happens.

You are not an idiot. you are just trusting like me. Anyone who has ever bought parts from me will tell you the money was secondary to them getting what they need.

If I was asked the question "More money or more happiness in life" I would pick more happiness every time.

I understand your frustration of thinking your doing the right thing and having someone complain.

Most brands of slots are indiscernable from other brands from the front. When I was younger, if someone lost a center cap and could not find another like it, they would just buy a set of whatever would fit and no one would know or care.
Since ANYTHING was available for Motion cars and this guy is just building a clone, I think the other guys are right, He is just trying to scam you and get the wheels for nothing.
It would be nice to know who he is so no one else will deal with
the SCAMMER.
I think You should still get them back rather than just letting the SCAMMER have them.

Tell the Scammer to ship them back and you'll send him a check for the cost of shipping at the same time...

Thanks 69, I was hoping I used the word style, but I didn't. Oh well, anyone want a set of REALLY CHEAP wheels in NY, only caviat is you can't be the original purchaser, my PM box is getting full and I don't want to delete the messages about the wheels, going to try to PDF them later so I can retain a copy. My preference at this point is to unload these to someone who can pick them up in Garden City NY, money is no object, I just don't feel like giving these away to the original 'buyer'. Thanks for everyone's help. As far as a discount, I only asked for 375+shipping, to me these are cheap aluminum wheels, this just isn't about money for me, I'd rather give them to someone else than renegotiate, call me stubborn.

Once this is settled, I'm happy to send copies of all the exchanges with names and addresses removed for anyone who wants it.
