I would start with the basics. Put a test light on the wire going to the compressor. Are you getting power to the compressor? If yes and it still doesn't work, check the ground at the same connection. If good is it's probably the magnet in the clutch assembly. If no power, it could be a fuse or the switch inside the A/C switch on the console.
