Default will pulling rear spindal trash bearings

I rebuilt my t arms but i want to tear them apart agian and paint the parts in POR 15 instead of the crap paint I originaly chose as well as put in the parking breaks that i didnt have time to replace.

if i press out the spindles will this damage the inner bearing? my thoughts are the press forcing the inter bearing against the race and damagin the cage or sliping at an angle and damaging the cage.

I cant find any info on this and hope some one will chime in.

If you drive them out I would replace them. I've used the KM press to remove the spindle and reused bearings with no problem but it rotates the bearings as it comes apart.
I've never used a hydraulic press but I would guess if you rotated the spindle it would be ok.

As long as you correctly press on the inner race and not on the bearing or the cage, the bearings can be pressed on and off almost indefinitely.

Thanks for the replies good to know I don't have to spend an extra 60 for new bearings I will just rotate the spindle and go slow. Have a happy thanksgiving.

Lars summed it up. I will say sometimes it is hard to not mess up that cage though. It depends on the pullers from my experience.

Why pull them at all if all you want to do is paint them?
