Default Water Pump Pulley

I want to put a chrome water pump pulley on my 77 L 48 350. One source says I have a long water pump, one says I have a short. One says it's determined by which side the alternater is on. Still another says the hole size varies. Can anyone help me? My alternator is on the driver side.

Thanks

Vietvette

Who told you that?

It's the short one. I just ordered this one from Summit ... fit like a glove. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AAZ-58-148/

TPI BOY is correct,
You got the Corvette only pump, check the "Check Application" link on the link you posted.
It does have an error though, the Corvette pump fits from 1971-82 sbc vette not 75 to 79 and is Block to hub----5.795"----3/4" shaft,
whereas the regular short pump is Block to hub----5.625"----5/8" Shaft

I bought a new pump for my 78 thinking sb chevs were all the same, wrong,
The pulley hit the pump housing and as noonie said it had a 5/8" shaft
instead of 3/4"

Interesting, all I saw was ...

"Water Pump, Remanufactured, Replacement, Chevy, Small Block, Short, Each"

Never knew Corvettes had specific water pumps. I stand corrected.
