Any suggestions from anyone on who or what company doing the best job of rebuilding quadrajet carbs. Its seems to run good but after reading some of Lars papers, I would like for it to be the best it can be.
I've had good luck with Phil at Custom Rebuilt Carbs, in Middlesex, NJ. Great quality, quick turn around and he stands behind his work. www.customrebuiltcarbs.com
I have used Dayton Parts Co. to restore a carburetor for another project I did about four years ago. They do not just rebuild but restore them I am not sure of the level of rebuild you are looking for these guy re-plated parts and made it like new. http://www.daytonaparts.com/
I have yet to find anything concerning a corvette which is not pricey. But damn they are fun. Thanks everyone for the responses and I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a safe holliday season.

There are a lot of good carburetor rebuilders but the trick is tuning a the carburetor for todays gasoline. I would recommend that a person find a rebuilder in thier area that offers on car tuning for the gasoline that is sold in thier area of the country. There is several articles on our web site www.olescarb.com that can supply you with the information that is needed to tune a engine for today's gasoline or Lars has some really good info that you can get from him via e-mail that is very good. Cliff is also a leader in providing the a the readers of his books with the information you need to tune and jet a carb for today's gasoline.
My main point is that the gasoline you buy at your local gas station is very different than the gasoline that a carburetor equipped engine was designed and jetted/tuned to use therefore if you expect your Corvette to run it's best you should tune the ignition advance system and the carburetors air/fuel mixture curves for the gasoline you are using.
I hope this helps Henry @ olescarb

Great advice. It always amazes me as to how much time others spend helping someone. This thread started Dec 9th and is still running. I only hope someday I would be able to give back to this forum just a tiny amount of advice compared to what I have gotten.
