I have really wanted to get a tripower but the originals are just more than I want to pay for one. I've found a few aftermarket ones like Barry Grants but they are pricey also. I saw the bare tripower intake being sold by a few places at affordable prices. I can find the linkage and have seen some decent prices for the 3 carbs minus the linkage on ebay.

Is there anything that I am not seeing that would make it difficult to set up my own tripower for the car. I know that I can just put a 4 barrel on alot cheaper but I have always like the look of a tripower. I'm just not finding alot of info on it.

Yeah, I've thought about doing it too from time to time for the same reasons, there are several shops that will sell you the whole setup. I had a BG Six Shooter setup but sold it; I never put it on the car, I just didn't care for the design.
If you have an HEI distributer you'll have to change it, the body is too big and interferes with the rear carb. I found a guy who builds HEI dist in the smaller point style distributer housing; he does a real nice looking job but it gets pricey. The alternative is going to an MSD setup with the box bolted to the firewall.
