Default '71 Heater Control

My heater control is blowing through the floor vents when the heater control is in the "defog" postion and it's blowing through the dash when it's on the "air" position. Something must be hooked up backwards. Any idea?

Hi P,
The heater/defroster wheel that determines hot/cold operates a cable to open and close the heat door.
The heater/defroster wheel that determines up/down or both, operates a vacuum valve. Are the 2 vacuum lines that come off the heater controller reversed where they connect to the actuators on the heater box?
Regards,
Alan

The acutators are circled in this picture.

Thanks Alan...i'll check it out. Whoever had the interior apart before me did not do that great of a job putting it back together so it's possible they are reversed. I was thinking i may have had the vacuum cable attached backwards on the heater control itself, but it appears as though that only fits on one way.
