Default Rear Spindle Studs

Does any know if you can replace the rear spindle studs without removeing the spindle? I need to put in longer, hardened studs for compliance with racing rules when using slicks. Thanks, jamie

Due to the e-brake design, they are obviously a royal pain in the butt to change out....I would as carefully as possible just remove the e-brakes and forget about their existance, as they typically don't hold for sh it anyway....
Florida has no safety mavens to worry about, so that's what I"d do....

I installed 1/2 inch 3 inch long studs in my rear spindles without taking them off. I do NOT have dust shields. I was able to rotate the spindle to a position where I could hammer the old studs out. On the drivers side this is at 9 oclock. I also made a jig to guide the drill pit, clamped it to the wheel and drilled for the oversize studs. Then rotated each hole back to the 9 oclock position and installed the stud and used nuts to pull the spline through.

Thanks a ton guys. I didn't want to pull my calipers just to find out if I could change studs. So thanks for the good news. I guess I'll do this soon before tech throws me out on a race night.
