I am working on a 75'. Both power windows don't work. There is a circuit breaker in the fuse panel, which is working fine. Is there an additional fuse somewhere else ? Something else I am missing ?
grounds for the window motors are through the door frame and hinge. Check the connector at the motor for power and ground on the motor case, you should get solid battery voltage there. Many tomes the switches on the console are full of junk and don't make the connections. You can CAREFULLY take them apart and clean with contact cleaner (CRC or the like from Graybar, etc..) and sometimes get them to work.

But also check the fuse box for a pink / black stripe wire, this wire tics the relay and since BOTH motors are out that might be your problem. Its very common for this pink wire to get knocked out by your foot. It should go in the IGN tap hole.

Actually it goes in the ACC plug so that the windows also work with the key in the accessories position.
Plugs on the back of the switches are also prone to fail and lose their tightness on the switch terminals. They too can be taken apart carefully and put back together. Fixed my problem.
That plug was out and it goes in the IGN socket. I found it out yesterday. There are little tabs on the plug and that is the only place it fits and it works in the accessories position. Now I have power at the windows but there must be something wrong with the window lift on the left side. Probably the crud from 7 years... it's always something...
