Not sure where I am going with the paint except it will have the Owens Corning type stripe. I am just waiting to pick the darn thing up which will more than likely be the 1st of the year.

Its been a long while since I have had anything to update. I have some additional pictures below, the body work is done and in gel coat getting set for Jeff to take the molds. I just ordered my motor, a
LS3 418/FI/600hp from Frank at Prodigy Customs so I am very excited about that. I hope to pick the car up in a month so I will have the original 350/4spd with 83k miles on it for sale, the AC system, the frame and suspension, the pop up headlights and vacum actuator, I think the dash will be sold and I will sell all the original guages to include the clock as it still works (package) in the near future. Also the complete (almost new) exhaust

Well I was told I can pick my car up late May so the body will come off the frame in about 2-3 weeks. I plan on selling the chassis, complete suspension and rear end , engine, trans, drive shaft, fuel tank as one piece and will also have the headlight motors and vacuum actuator and hood for sale. I will post these on the C3 parts for sale and if you know anyone who is interested send them my way. They can be seen, shipped and or picked up at Mid America Industries, in Milan Il . The frame is next to rust free and we will have pics once the body off. Thanks

Stick with it! Its taken me 7 years to get mine to the wheels and tyres state, and I still have paint to flat and wiring to complete plus numerous other tasks to undertake.... but that means I am very near pushing the noise button! - Can't wait!!!!

Did this car have the original Schweitzer fan clutch? If so could you tell me the date code on the mounting hub edge? I might be interested in purchasing this. Thanks.

Glad to hear you're making progress.
Can you send me some pics of the fuel tank.
If it has the same vent ports as my 71 I'll probably take it.

sorry about the late response but the tank is gone.

I hope to pick the car up this month its been a very long road to get it back. I severed ties with Prodigy Customs for my motor, I am now leaning twds the SDP or Blue Print's LS-3/427 600hp. Blue Prints engines offers a 30month 50k warranty and both motors are basically the same.

I thought about the Blue Print motor for my project but after checking into them and reading a fair amount of negative feed back from people who had purchased them and were unable to get the warranty honored, I decided against it. Just my two cents worth.
Good luck with the project and keep the pics coming.

Great build, really enjoying following your progress. Just a question with no other motives - why are you going with the carved version vs fi? Is it so that the "look" will be more consistent with the vintage race engine or? I've seen the carved versions of the ls3's and just wondered about them. Love the Team III wheels as well.
