I don't understand a few things. what makes an engine "wind up" faster then another engine. Does fuel injection have anything to do with it?
Just a "what if" question. But if you took a new Z06, with 405 HP, and ran it around a track. Then you pulled into the pits, and replaced the engine with a carburated engine with the same red line and same HP(maybe a little more), then ran it around the track, aside from a decline in gas milage, would there be any other difference? Basically Im asking if a carb engine can perform the same as a fuel injected engine.
I'm no expert on the details, but Ill get this back to the top for you.. The answer is Yes. Carburated cars have been around alot longer and have their advantages, but fuel injection will eventually surpase (sp?) it.
Carbs can perform just as well as FI. Just look at the number of drag cars running carbs vs the handfull with FI. Just that with FI you can get things more accurate and keep them that way. Better milage, less emission, and better overall engine control.
