Default Help with part please

There's a vacuum fitting that screws into the intake right behind the carburator, two vaccum tubes attach to it. One of the nipples snapped off when I tried to slide the tube over it. What is this fitting called, and where can I get a new one? I did a seach of vacuum fittings at Summit but didn't see one. Thanks, - Jay

Hi Jay,
They're in the intake manifold section, intake fittings, in the ZIP catalog.
They're made with various numbers of nipples and with the nipples in various positions.
There are pictures so you'll know which part number to order.
Reards,
Alan

It's simply called an intake manifold vacuum fitting. The pic shows a 1974 version. I believe you are looking for a two-port version for a 1976 with automatic. I have checked several vendors' catalogues and strangely a two-port unit for a 1976 is conspicuous by its absence. The one-port version is there for manual transmission cars but....I see 1974-75 as seen in the pic and 1977- but not 1976! Bizarre. But surely another year can be adapted.

You're right, it's not listed. One port has to be straight up to fit a shaped tube.

Or you can go with something like this and just route the rubber vacuum hose a little differently.

Thanks guys for all the useful input, I couldn't do this without the help of my Corvette brothers.

I hope you sort things out! I am still curious as to why the 1976 is a different creature. I had hoped that Ernie from Willcox would jump in.
