Default LS swap, computer programing?

As I am getting all my parts and pieces together I am looking to pick up a program that I can manually
tune/reprogram the computer myself instead of sending it out to someone, so as I make changes
to the motor I can reprogram for necessary changes. What has most of you other LS swap guys used
to reprogram the GEN 4 LS computers? I am working with a 2008 SS trailblazer LS2 with a 4L70E
trans. I would also like to be able to tune the Transmission shift points if that is possible.

Thanks for any and all help,
Riggs.

HP Tuners is what I use. There are others. Try LS1tech.com for input. Also there are used versions for sale in the classifieds section.

All the tuners I know locally use HPTuners.

This is all very new to me. Does the HP tuner allow you to change just about everything to make the necessary adjustments
when you swap intakes,Throttle body, change injectors, add headers, cam swap, You get my point. I am looking for a
simple set up that will allow me to make what ever changes with out additional cost each time I want to make a change.

I am looking to possibly drop in the LS2 with only a cam and headers at first, but then add other upgrades as I can,
I want the ability to make changes for street use, to then track use.

Sorry for all the stupid questions but I am learning, Thanks.

There are several different programs available to do tuning with. I also have HPTuners. Other programs I can think of are LS1 Edit and EFI Live. All 3 of these programs allow you to do just about anything you would ever want to do tuning wise to your rides.
