Does anyone know which fuse power runs through to power windows on a 79? And what circuit are power windows a part of? My windows are not currently working. A schematic might help.
The 79 is pretty simple,it uses a 30 amp circuit breaker and no relay.
Breaker is on right side of fuse box above turn signal flasher and its labeled PWR ACCY.
well, the fuse isn't bad. I just checked it. But it looks like the window switches don't have power going to them when you flip the ignition.
If you have power on both sides of the circuit breaker the next thing is to check the 12 pink at the switches.
(Don't be fooled by a corroded connector on the fused side of the circuit breaker-probe both the spade and connector to be sure.)

Whoever had my car last replaced the breaker with a fuse but the fuse is good and the windows used to work. There is no power at either of the window switches. So there is something wrong with the wires in between the fusebox and the window switches.
On the circuit breaker above the the a/c fuse, there is the pink wire and the circuit breaker. This part of the fusebox doesn't have power when the key is turned. I looked in the AIM and this wire to the fusebox is labeled Power Window. Does anyone know where the slot gets its power?
