This would've been nice to know from the beginning.
I know people are going to disagree, but there's no reason to run a locked out advance on the street. They're fine for racing, but not on the street.
The place that dynoed it said if I set the timing at 32 degrees and do the retard timing thing it makes for a nasty street motor. He mentioned something about vacuum being absent so a vacuum advance would be useless, but not 100% sure about that, I was talking to him and as he was mentioning everything the cost of all this was preoccupying my mind.
Just an update=
new flexplate, new Chevy hi-torque starter, timing set at 32btdc and everything works great!!! Advance is locked out and engine spins fine and starts at first spin!!!!
