Default updating gauges

Ok, ive asked a few people and have gotten a few different answers so i figured i would ask here.

I am going to replace my gauges with some new ones where they are more visible and just overall more eye appealing. Im currently in the process of making a entire new center console out of fiberglass but not sure if im going to use that or just make a new face plate and cut out the old gauge cluster face and add the new one, waiting to see how the fiberglass console comes out first. But my question is, can i just use the existing wiring since the old gauges are electrical and the new ones are electrical, or do i need to run all new wiring and replace all of the sending units? The 3 answers ive gotten so far, are yes, no, and maybe, lol so you see where im at. I would like to eliminate maybe all together, so lets stick with yes or no's. If someone has done it either way or the other i would like to hear how it came out. Thanks

Buy the matching sending unit for the gauges.

you use most of the stock wiring (need to figures out a ground since all of the gauges share a ground on the metal housing)
Make sure you use the senders supplied with the gauges.

Do a search- there is TONS of info on upgrading gauges.

Most of them seem to come with new sending units, so the question was mainly on the wiring, i might just run some new wires to the easier gauges, but i wasnt really looking to run new wires to the fuel tank so thats why i was wondering. But thank you for the replies,
