Default 69 Vert Help Needed

G'day Guys,
Looking for some mor help in identifying parts in my 69 vert. I have a couple of photo's below showing what I believe is what is left of one of the door jam interior light switches and what I think is the access hatch in the rear wheel well.

Am I correct? If I am, does anyone know what page in the assembly manual I will find them shown on(I have looked, but can only find the switch at the front of the doors) and which p/n in any of the parts catalogues is used to replace the switch (both sides are in the same condition)?

Regards,

Mark

Look in any of the catalogues under elect. for door ajar/jamb courtesy lamp.
The access panel is correct, it allows you access to the body mount.

You don't have to access the backside.
Here are a couple 1 pole and 2 pole
Any parts store around here has them and can order others. Only 2 or 3 bucks apiece.

Sounds like you're in S Florida.
The ones you linked are very common. I use a lot of. Fits a lot of years.

If nothing else, they can always add these where necessary in the door jamb just for the new alarm. Plenty of room in there.

To check yours, just unscrew using a 1/2" deep socket.

I'll have to check and see if I can get em in Brisbane somewhere. If not I'll have to get em from the US. Thanks again.

UPC 12 C5 in the 69 AIM. Shows the wiring routed through the lock post to the rear of the switch. If you've been living right, the wiring will come with the switch when you remove the old switch.

Hi M A F,
If you're living right, (or even somewhat right), hopefully you'll see something like this.
The little copper connectors are available too.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan

Thanks Alan and forman,
My switch is just rotating & not unscrewing. I'd say the nut that is fixed to the body has detached, not sure how I'm gonna fix that.

Hi Mark,
I believe the nut your picture shows is part of the switch... it's the plunger part of the switch that's broken off.
Have you tried pulling on the nut while you turn it?
If you look in through the inspection port you should be able to see what's going on for sure.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan

G'day Alan,
The nut I was refering to, is the internal thread that the switch screws into. I will try grabbing the external hex body of the switch with vice grips and turning to see if it will catch the thread and screw out, wish me luck.
