Default 1970 corvette stingray steering problem

i have a 1970 corvette stingray small block coupe(fully restored) and when i hit a bump the car shoots left or right..... hard. checked shocks and shock mounts, wheel berrings, tie rods, even disconnected the powersteering. slight negative camber and front tires are worn a lil. 225/60/15/ eagle gator back tires. not the right size tires could this be a problem. ??? or what else do you guys think it might be.

Check the steering coupling ( between the gear box and steering column) for excessive free-play.

Check your idler arm, ball joints (upper and lower)

How fast are you going when this occurs? Because it can possibly be an issue with the rear suspension/alignment.

Have the car put on an alignment machine and see what it shows. And hopefully the technician that will "hopefully" correct any alignment issues TAKES THE TIME to do it correctly. I have found that it is hard to find someone who will ACTUALLY do it correctly... because adjusting the "toe-in" shims for the rear trailing arms is a pain because most of the time alignment shops do not have to deal with this area on other cars and just by-pass it "somewhat" and figure that it is "good enough" because the machine shows that it is ion the green...and not trying to make it right.
