Hello all,
I think my Dewitt's temp sensor has gone crazy. I have the Dewitt's dual fan kit and aluminum radiator and the sensor that came with the kit. In cold weather, the fans come on almost immediately and run for a very long time keeping the motor from warming up to operating temperature. The fans never cycle. The engine never warms up. This is Georgia cold, not New Hampshire cold. On warmer days the fans will still come on early but after a long time will begin to behave fine and cycle as expected allowing the engine to fully warm up before cooling it to within the designated range. But as I mentioned, it takes awhile. The temp sensor is in the Dart Pro1 aluminum head on the passenger side. New 180 deg thermostat. Fans are on dual relays and all connections are secure, including connections to the temp sensor. The coolant is full with no air in the system. This is the first full winter that I've been able to enjoy my vette so I really noticed this issue the last 5 months. The parts are probably two years old, but maybe have 4000 miles on them. Anybody have a similar experience?
Thanks
last year I thought my switch gone bad, turned out the radiator wasn't grounded properly, put a ground strap from the radiator to the frame and its working flawlessly ever since.

HamadUp: Where did you fasten the ground strap?
I used a then hose clamp and secured one end of the strap around the temp. switch, and the other end on the radiator mount.
