Default Cooling Help

Im going to start off by saying I am new to the corvette club and am gun shy about fixing it. I like to know how to do it RIGHT before I tear it apart. Now the problem, on my corvette the radiator cap is not the highest point of the cooling system. The top radiator hose is the highest in the center of the hose. I opened the radiator cap just to check the level of coolant and I think it put a big air bubble in the line. Today when i started it and let it run the temp kept going up and wouldn't stop when the thermostat should kick in. The other day I took it for a spin and it ran cool and didn't even get that warm. I don't know what the problem is. Any help would be great full. Thanks

Default Where to start!

You can check to see if the thermostat works or while it's out replace it with a Robert Shaw, they come with a small hole to pass some fluid even when closed.
Fill the block then install the T Stat.

See if your Temp gauge is accurate - confirm with a IR
