Default Positraction or not?

I have a stock setup on my 72 lt1. Does my stock differential have positraction or not. I've drained the oil from it and want to know if I should put in the positraction additive.

Are all c2 and c3 differentials positraction?

Thanks

I'd really recommend using a gear oil designed for posi axle's before putting in any additional friction modifier's. Posi clutch pack lock up can be a bit noisy around tight turn's, but modifier's can take away most of the posi action, if not careful. You can alway's put some in later, if feel it's needed.

I use 80/90 gear weight oil and 1 4 oz bottle of GM posi lube. Then do some figure eights in a parking lot to work it into the clutches.

It is easy to tell if you have positrack.

roll through the water box and do a burn out. If it is blowing smoke off of one tire, hold your hand out the window and tell the official that you don't have positraction and that your and Idiot and you are packing up to go back home!

Like anything it depends on how hot it gets. I use 85W-140 Valvoline syn power with one tube of posi lube
