Thanks, is this also the piston used on the 70 base.? The reason Im asking is because in the GM specs manual for the 70 describes the piston head type as flat notched and in the 71 manual it is described as sump. I guess they mean the recess on the piston head as they intergrate with the valve reliefs

Valve reliefs will be similar but no dish in 1970 base 350 piston. The flat top and smaller combustion chamber give the 70 the 300HP it really seems to have.
