275/60R15 are very close to your e-brake cable. On my 69 Vert I used 275/60R15
tires- there was less than a quarter inch of space between the tires and
the e-brake cables!
take an angle grinder, and grind away the corner of the ebrake cable that is closest to the tire as it gets wider....dont worry about the half of the bracket thats sits over the rim......be careful not to grind too much though. If you do this, you can definitely fit those tire :yesnod:
I'd move the park brake cable regardless of what tire you put on. It's very easy to do yourself. If not, take it to a muffler shop and have them grind it off and move it to where mine is. See below:

Re: 275/60/15's (C3Vettesrock)
They were in mine when I bought them. I would look out for a bit of rubbing from Turning all the way in one direction. its just a really lite rub. But I would watch for it. My bad I thought U meant all 4 sorry
I went to a local shop (Discount Tires or America's Tire Company) and they gladly mounted a BFG Radail T/A 275/60-15 on one of my rims so I could check the fit. I did grind the corner of my ebrake cable bracket down as far as I dared, but the tires still rubbed against it and I was afraid the sidewalls might tear open so I got 255/60-15's instead. The shop had no problem with test mounting a tire...it's just a simple exchange to them.
Also, all tires are not the same. The BFG's Radial T/A's have a wider section width (fattest part of tire) than other models and brands. Be sure to test fit with the same tires you intend to mount. IMHO any rubbing is dangerous.
Whether they fit or not (and they probably won't without moving the ebrake) You Will regret putting this size on your car. I seriously did and removed them and immediately went out and got 275/50/15 (26" tall).
275/60/15 are too tall (28")and Kill your performance. BIG difference off the line.
Now I am not sure of your gearing , mine is 3.36 rear. :flag
i too agree with clink on height it really killed my low end im gone to switch to somthing shorter later on..and i have 3.70 gears too.mine are 28 inch tall.
C3Vettesrock - I had 275X60-15's on the "nothing fancy"'77 in my signature pic. I also emailed you some other pics to show the fit - I didn't want to upload the pics - a combination of laziness and minimal amount of usable ISP provided web space.
I'd be gald to email anyone else who is interested - just drop me any email at rpotts@austin.rr.com
