will a 75 corvette frame fit a 73 without modifacations?
I believe there might be a bit of modificatoin needed to the rear of the 75 frame because the bumper bracket attachment for the 73 chrome bumpers is different than for the 75 rubber bumper. When you see the two frames next to each other you'll see the ends of the frame rails and the rear cross-member is different. The end of th 68-73 frame rails curve up slightly, while the later years curve down slightly.
I really don't think 'all' 68-82 frames are the same.

Alan

69-73 all use the same frame, the 68 is almost identical, but I think the mount holes for the frame horn extensions, are positioned differently. 1974 has a one year only frame, while the 75-77 and 78-79 frames are almost the same. I think the only difference on the 75-77s and 78-79s, is in the provision for mounting the gas tanks. Finally 80-82 all share the same frame.
A 75 frame will require some modification, to use in a 73.
As Alan said, the rear frame section is different, because of the mounting differences between the hard mounted 73 chrome bumpers, and the mounting for the shocks used with the 75 and later bumpers. There may be some minor differences to the front frame horns also, again to accommodate the 75 up energy absorbing shocks.
