When I started to realize how much work it was to have the body done properly I was "No way" the costs would be very high and nobody wanted it

I just gave up and drove last summer like this

It was something different, semiglossblack rallye wheels, black Hooker sidepipes, a terrible noise and a lunatic driver

My friend called me and he had a plan for my car!!!
His friend was a teacher in a school for surface finishing for cars!
They were more than happy to get my Corvette instead of some wrecked japanese cars etc to have it as a project.
So I got very lucky
The whole body and paint work has been done by pupils only
If you have time and nerves you can watch the whole project in the link below (language is in Finnish)
http://pintakilta.wikispaces.com/3.+Projektit
Viikko means week and it start with 1. first week in January this year.

I hope you enjoy

I will post more of the other things done with the car later again.
Thank you

ps. my english is maybe more like swenglish, because I talk swedish and finnish here, Ill try to write like Clint Eastwood sorry for that.

Wow what a great write-up. Those kids (young adults) did a great job… I wish I could read what the captions say. How about a little information about what’s under the hood that required the L-88 hood to be modified.
Thanks for sharing

This is a very cool thread. I looked through the whole build that those students did, and while (even in the translated version) I didnt really understand what was being said for the most part, it was cool to see them tackle that project and bring another C3 back to life. BTW, I love that paint scheme that they put on it, and the black headlight buckets looks pretty trick as well. Good work!

Thank you brotharon
The motivation was really high from the start
I had some photos of old vintage racecars and had a few things that I wanted. The hood was the difficultiest to do and the idea was that it had to look smaller, I think that went really well, the glossblack make it look smaller
The white board looks also good, I compared it to this

This is a very cool car and its one of kind, the warrior is a little different only and try not to better just to look unique

The monaco orange idea came from these cars, my friends were in Chicago (Vettefest) and said that this could be a good choice of color.
Both of these guys are also here in the forum
It looks really good in sunset

Last weekend I run the warrior for the first time on a strip (a airport with no glue on the track)
With the Firestone Indy 500 there was no traction but still managed to get it into high 12`s
What kind of tires should I get, 8 x 15 rim, 0 offset 4" backspace
I have been thinkin of M/T Street ET (I have moved the handbrake wire allready)

What do you suggest ET Street or ET Street Radial of the same brand?
