Default Lars chart

I have a copy of Lars info on curve for performance, But I heard that there is a chart that goes with it, can anybody hook me up with where to find it. Also some of the guy say that I need to get the right can when doing this. What can are they talking about? Sorry for sounding stupid, but I won't know if I don't ask. Thanks again.

Lars e-mail address: V8FastCars @msn.com

Send a little note telling him what equipment you have in the car and any modifications to the engine. Then, request any help/info you need.

"Can" = Vacuum Advance Can. Many factory distributors pull another 15-20 dgr timing when there's high vacuum (cruise). If you recurve the mechanical to come in faster, and bump your initial timing, adding another 20 dgr at cruise will make it ping.

So you need to use a vacuum can with less advance. Lars has the part number for a factory one from the 1960's that only pulled 10 dgrs.
