80vette extended wheel studs
Hi, I'm changing to longer wheel studs for my 1980 Corvette. The ones I want are Moroso 2 7/8', 7/16'. But I don't know the dimensions of the part of the bolt that fits inside the axle/hub? The choices are .480 are .560 Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

darcy, the racing studs i put in the hubs of my '81 were 7/16 ARP, jegs P/N 070-100-7701. they are 2-7/8" long, with a .580 diameter knurl. just beware: unless you have the rear hubs disassembled or have already removed the brake shield, you will not be able to get them in. i had to cut my brake shield and gut the 'emergency brake' (yeah, like that thing ever worked :confused: ). once i got them in, i put a small tack weld on them since they were such a pain to get to. also, you will need different lugs if you ever want to run the aluminum wheels i'm assuming your car came with. :chevy
